Lower Loop
Lower loop is a wonderful trail to begin a week of riding in Crested Butte. This trail funs west out of town and provides some great scenic single track, and views of Peanut Lake and mine. You also have the option of climbing many trails along a great roaring stream. In fact every trail in Crested Butte offers some great experiences, and this one is no exception. If you're coming out from lower elevations, however, this is a great place to start your week of riding.
Getting There
- Head west along Gothic avenue in Crested Butte till you reach the trail head. This will give you several options for riding the trail.
Trail Description
This trail offers many options for riding. You have single track, bike trail, and jeep trail. Head out of town and pick a route. There's not much elevation gain, however, you will have the option for climbing. Follow the track on the .gpx for at least one option for this ride. The track loops back on itself a few times as we made attempts on finding trail options. Use it as a starting point and then venture out on your own.
