Green Mountain
Green Mountain provides a detour off Colorado Trail near Buffalo Creek. This trail is the ultimate in mountain biking, providing technical trail, and large sections of pine and aspen forest.
Getting There
- Take HWY 67 North out of Woodland Park.
- Park at Buffalo Creek Ranger Station.
Trail Description
Cross the road from the Ranger Station and ride north on 67 about 100 yards to your first left. Ride up the road to the first single track on your left. Ride up through the old burn area until you reach the first saddle. From here take the left up, and ride until you reach the road. Cross the road to the Colorado Trail entrance. When you get to Colorado Trail go right. Follow the trail until you see the turnoff for Green Mountain on your left. Follow around the mountain, heading left when you get to the Colorado Trail intersection. Stay on the trail, crossing roads until you take the right on Red Feather. Follow Red Feather across the road and back into Buffalo Creek. When you get to the wood fence, follow the trail down to where you parked.
