Red Rocks offers many riding options and more are being added every year. This loop was the original trail as cyclists were kept off most everything else. Still, the park offers great views of the rock formations and even an old rock quarry.

Getting There

  • Takc I-25 to the Cimmaron Exit and go West on HWY 24.
  • Take HWY 24 to Ridge Road and go left.
  • Red Rocks park is on your left.

Trail Description

The best way to do this ride is clockwise. This means that you will be riding up the road, and down the single track. You will climb up a closed road through the old landfill. At the top, go right onto a single track. You know you have the right track if you are going up. The trail offers every challenge except water crossings. However, if you add the Section 16 loop you can get that as well. The down sections are very technical and require caution. However, the views of the city are awesome.
