Tipperary Creek

This is one of the best trails in the Frasier Valley. You have everything from paved road to single track. It is not a difficult trail, but does have some short steep climbs, and water crossings. Make sure that after your ride you take time to visit some of the shops in the area.

Getting There

  • Take I-70 from Denver to Winter Park.
  • Go through Winter Park down to Frasier.
  • Parking is available at the end of the Safeway parking lot near the pond.

Trail Description

The first few miles of this ride is on road, or trail that skirts the road. You will then go into a forested area where many trails intersect. If you follow the .gpx track, you will make it through fine. You are then taken back out onto the road where you climb to another trail head. From here you climb several switchbacks till you cross a stream. After the steam the trail gradually climbs till you come to a rest area of sorts. After that it is downhill back to a road. The downhill is an old jeep road with many water bars for launching off. Take care for anyone riding up from there. Although why they would want to miss that downhill is for anyone to wonder. You will come back to a road again where you go right through the intersection and then take a left onto another trail head. This involves some descending and climbing until you finally come out onto the road. Go left, and it takes you back to town. The track actually goes over the railroad tracks. This is a shortcut to getting back to the car.
