Guffy Cove

******************NO BIKES**********************

This is a great hiking only trail, and very short.  If you have the hankering to have a nice picnic in a beautiful canyon, this is the place!  The only reason this made it onto the site is because of how pretty the trail is.

Getting There

  • HWY 24 West from Colorado Springs to Teller 1 in Florissant, Colorado.
  • Go south on Teller 1 to Teller 11 and go right.
  • Follow Teller 11 to Teller 112/102 and go right.
  • After a few miles, you will come to a pulloff on your left.  The trial is actually across the highway on your right.

Trail Description

Park at the pulloff at the trail head.  Walk across the highway, and over the rise to the trail head.  You will look down into a beautiful valley, with high rock walls.  Follow the trail around the canyon to a small water hole, and waterfall.  This is a very pretty area.  You have the options for rock climbing, boulding, and just wading in the water.  Don't dive in...it's shallow.
