Deer Creek

This trail offers excellent views of the mountains and the city. You also have some great views of the East River and many of the scenic valleys in the area. This trail also offers everything from paved road, to jeep trail and single track. Everything about this ride aims to please. Do the track in reverse for an added challenge.

 

Getting There

  • Go south to Brush Creek Road.
  • Head out Brush Creek to the jeep trails on your right.Truly the best way to do this ride is to follow the track.

Trail Description

This is a very brief description of a very long ride. Take the track and make a day of it. The distance is long, and the challenge great. But if you make a day of it, you will enjoy the ride. Deer Creek is one of the longest and challenging rides in Crested Butte. Starting from town and going counter clockwise it wraps around Mt. Crested Butte. There are many options for this ride, and this is just one. The track takes you up Tony's and onto Upper Loop. You then drop down on Brush Creek Road.  Once behind Mt. Crested Butte, you will climb jeep trails over a ridge above the East River. You will then go down into the woods and start climbing and descending over and over again till you finally end of out on Gothic road.
