Upper Upper Loop
This is great trail from the town of Crested Butte. It makes a nice out and back. It is also the trail that takes you to the back of Mt Crested Butte and onto all the trails in the Gunnison National Forest.
Getting There
- Go to Crested Butte and park at the Chamber of Commerce.
Trail Description
Head out Elk Avenue toward Mt Crested Butte. Ride past the cattle grates and take a left onto Tony's. Ride up the single track and take a right when you reach Upper Loop. Continue to ride on the trail, and go left up when you get to the next intersection of trail. You can ride all the way out from here to Brush Creek Road, or stop at the top, as the track does and turn around, reversing your course for some killer downhills.
