South Mountain

This collection of trails can be found in Phoenix Arizona.  South Mountain lies near Arizona State College.  The park provides a huge network of trails which are open year around.  If you live up north, and are tired of the winter snows, I highly suggest you make the trip here.

Getting There:

  • Take Baseline Road to 24th Street.
  • Turn South on 24th, and look for a place to park.

There are a host of trails here.  All tracks are posted on this page.  Breakdowns and descriptions are available for each trail as well.  The profile below shows the contour of one of the longer trails, National.  It also provides a good guage for the climbing you can do.
