Lions Loop
This trail follows part of the Colorado River and offers some spectacular views. It is all open, with no tree cover. Still, the rock formations, and surrounding sights are no disappointment.
Getting There
- Take the HWY 6 exit West of Fruita
- Follow the track from there for the trail head.
Trail Description
This is a very technical trail, and the wind doesn't help. However keep following the major trail around the butte. You will be presented with some great challenges and climbs. If you have ever been to Moab, Utah, this place is very similar in terrain.
